Downloadable paper architecture, of which David Graffam’s quirky models are stylish examples, is a pleasure, are that I have only just discovered. I was sufficiently impressed by the first few I bought as samples that I could not resist this generous but modestly-priced, bundle, very much in his house-style and versatile, given the variable layers feature and the .PSD files included. I do not have Photoshop, but can open the .PSD files in my graphics software (Serif DrawPlus X6) as images, which is good enough for my purposes.

To be frank, from the illustrations it is clear that the buildings belong more to the world of Fantasy than the mediaeval one in an historical or even practical sense but, speaking as a retired Architect, I find that this adds considerably to their charm. In any event the heaps of material in the package give plenty of scope for tinkering should you want that.

One further point, I have found that the printed colours, at least when using 160g/m2 plain card and ink-saving software, are much subtler than the illustrations might suggest.

In conclusion: very much worth the price (and the ink).

Dave's models are without doubt both great quality and great value. I really like the way you get plenty of help and advice bundled, especially the parts about scaling for various systems (28mm, 15mm, etc.). Scaling the print size down to 50% for equivalent 15mm model scale, and by feeding one sheet of A4 back into the printer after flipping/rotating it, I managed to get up to 4 such prints on one piece of A4 card - very efficient! - The ability to switch pdf layers on and off means that you get many possible variations with each model - and I imagine someone clever enough could even mix and match between bits of different models to create their own hybrids. Excellent product !

This is another fine set of models by Dave. Lke the Village bundle, most of these are very easy to build, about thirty minutes each. The fun is when you egin to explore the different layers provided. you can print most of these models in a choice of textures: stone, brick wood, plaster, with or without windows, doors, vegetation, repairs, exposed plumbing, etc. Any style can be achieved from "historic Medieval" to WH fantasy to steam-punk. I used 110 pound paper stock on this set, and was very happy with the results. The buildings are strong and very stable. Highly recommended!
