For the price, it's worth the cost, assuming you just can't seem to organize your thoughts enough to come up with a codename for your meta/power/cape/super/etc. It's also handy for those GMs who have players in their group that just can't seem to come up with a name they or anyone else will be happy with.

A disappointing product that could have been so much more. It is no more than a list of words that you could find in any good thesaurus. No random name generator, which would have made the product a little more fun. I think more words in each of the categories would also be an improvement. This wasn't really the product that I was expecting. But it may be what you are looking for.

LIKED: It was cheap.

DISLIKED: It should have been bigger, with random generation options.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
I thought this was going to be a series of charts for random name generation. It's a grouping of balloons with synonyms to various words. This could have been a free product.

QUALITY: Disappointing

VALUE: Disappointed
SUPERNAMES by Eternal Knot Games/Misfit Studios is, well, a collection of ideas and references for name for super powered characters, both heroes and villains.

It opens with a page on ?How to use Supernames? with discussion on what comprises an archetypal supername. With suggestions for the format of such names along with how to manipulate the sorts of elements that are usually used to create such names. This is good material and it is very consciously weighted to create Golden and Silver Age sounding names such a Doctor Amazing of M.A.G.E. or the Black Sickle, Avenger of New Harbor City and other such names that may strike the modern comic ready as slightly corny but who conjure up the original, more innocent, essence of the superheroic genre.

The majority of this product (four of the five pages) is name elements organized by theme (divine, ending, malign, time, title and so on) that can be combined to create interesting (and often very amusing) names for both heroes and villains.

This is a wonderful resource for any GM of a superheroic game, especially one with a more light-hearted theme, for a player, it is of more limited utility but still great fun.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
