So...kevlar vest weigh 30pnd?? Where did that come from? This is from pdf. In real-time they weigh about 5pnds. Was it correctly changed in the book? Almost all weights in pdfs are SO off.

I absolutely love the WOIN game system. I am a fan of modern RPGs to lesser degree, but love the sci-fi N.E.W. Regardless it's a brilliant system. similar in many ways to savage worlds, but with a lot of differences too - more in depth character building for sure.

However, if WOIN wants to really take it to the next level they need to get on the fantasy grounds wagon. I know it's technically available but it's so full of problems and bugs, it's not worth it. nowadys there are so many hopping online for a few hours to game vitural-table tops and savage worlds is killing it on there.

My whole gaming group put aside our NEW tabletop games to switch to savage worlds in light of all the shelter-at-home quarrantine protocols. And we've quickly come to enjoy it a lot, and there's a ton of options and material to choose from to be played on Fantasy Grounds. And i can only imagine what this will have done for the expanding of fan-base for fantasy grounds and savage worlds specifically. ...See more

Fantasy Grounds has a license to use WOIN on their platform, and has produced some content, but I’m afraid we at EN Publishing have no direct involvement with that other than licensing it to them. You would need to direct this at Smiteworks (the producer of Fantasy Grounds). :)

I cannot recommend this game/system enough to anybody interested in modern/action-adventure gaming. WOIN worked wonderfully for N.E.W. (the Sci-Fi RPG that uses this same system), and I eagerly awaited N.O.W. It was worth the wait.

Character Generation is fluid, and you can design/play exactly the kind of character you want, without restrictive classes.
Gameplay is quick, easy to understand and use, and comprehensive... it works for little things like skill checks as well as it works for the Big stuff like helicopter battles downtown.
The fact that N.O.W., N.E.W., and O.L.D. (the Fantasy version) are all completely cross compatible with each other helps if you need to throw in any curve balls to your players.

The ONLY thing I don't like about the W.O.I.N. system is the restriction on number of dice available based on your character's experience. It's easy to throw that rule out, if you'd like (that's what I do), so that's not a huge problem.

Is this just Modern Core, Modern Equipment and Action Careers put together as one book? Is there anything extra like how NEW and OLD have supplements included? Also, are the individual books updated to 1.2 already? They all seem to be last updated in 2017.
