Absolutely no combination of print at 100%, A4, A5, Letter, 104% scale, without margins, fit to page- I can't for the life of me get these damn squares to an inch.

What printer are you using? (and what are you using to view the pdf?)

The image itself is scaled a 1" per square, and I'm using adobe acrobat (on a PC) to view/print them, and a cheap canon printer to print them, and they work fine for me.

But, if you can let me know what you are using, I can ask on my discord if anyone has a similar problem (and hopefully if they have a solution :) ).

I'm also using a cheaper Cannon. I even tried downloading Adobe Acrobat after seeing it's what you recommended. The closest I got had one side at 1" and the other side with four line short of an inch.

Ah... the door bases are slightly shorter on that side - just to provide some clearance between them and the walls. You can see it better here: https://youtu.be/cr5gzdX7m-A?si=PWMHhF_fyLphe9xX&t=535

Hello!! I printed these squares in A4 format, 100% scale, with no margins, but they never came out as 1 inch squares (25 mm), but rather 1 mm smaller, 2,4 mm (so the total of the seven squares in the grid present on the second page should be at 175 mm, but I always print it at 170 mm). Is it the desired size, or is there a printer issue? Despite my attempts with various printers, the size remains the same.

Each square should be 1" in size when you print it at 100% or 'actual size' (I'm using adobe acrobat reader).

As a quick test, I just ran one off... and it seems to still be working fine for me - here's a quick pic:

Maybe it's the EU format to be different? Oh man I need to go through some tests...

I'm in the UK - so I'm also using A4.

If the problem persists you could maybe try printing them at 104% or 105% or similar (to get the full inch).

Hope that helps!

I'll try increasing the scale and see if that helps. If that oversizes a little, it's better get to 26mm instead of 24mm :P
I'll update you asap, so you can have a feedback.

It usually goes through the download process after you've 'purchased' it (which includes grabbing it for free).

If not, it should be in your 'account' page (look under 'all titles').

Hope that helps!

I taked this. Great job!
I should make 12x12" and 24x24" board for a fantasy wargame: i think to print 16 page for 6x6" tiles.
But, does it exist an A3 format of this dungeon texture?

Not really.
I tried to make a 'bundle' a while back - but that doesn't seem to allow for the pay-what-you-want option :(

This is how I've been doing them (should start at 1:53):

(this way, the players/characters can open one at a time if they so choose)

I was more referring to double doors in a frame, like the doors in this product, but your solution works perfect. I knew I must have skipped over something. Thank you again!

If you check out the sewer tiles, that has the same wall texture with half inch location marks along the top and bottom (if that helps).

These are incredibly cheap, easy, and have small but lovely details that please but don't overwhelm the eye. Add on the instructional videos on youtube and this is a winning combination! Thanks.

Love your 2.5D tiles & all those great extras. Simple and fun to make and the players love the extra detail, far better than me drawing on grid'd paper.

What did you have in mind? (as I'm not sure how these would feature in another product/project). However, I do already have lots of cheap 'stock art' maps if that's the kind of thing you're looking for (see here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/3785/Crooked-Staff-Publishing/subcategory/6576_26376/Stock-Art ).

I'm considering using your dungeon tiles to build the background image for a small dungeon, from which I would create a pen and ink result. Even though your resources wouldn't be actually in the final image, I'd want to work out an agreement for credit or compensation.

Thanks for the tip on the stock art. I'll look through it, but I don't see myself wanting to use another's layout whole hog. I'm simply not a good enough pictorial artist to make things to my own satisfaction, as much as I do have the skills to chop and transform others' work into something I like.

(PS -- But now that I'm actually looking through it...it's pretty great...Hmmmmmm).

Hello Crooked Staff,
I am pretty sure that I am going to like them textures, as I already liek the videos and the spirit behind them.

I do have a little request (sorry for being that guy...)

Do you think it would be possible to add a layer in the pdf for Hex map overlay?
I know is not common to use hexmaps still, including them in the pdf as an option would increase the appeal.
At least for me.

Thanks in advance!

No apology needed.

However, I lack the ability/software to make layered pdf files, so when I offer multiple versions (like the cave tiles I've recently released) they are supplied as separate images.

But with regard to these particular tiles... as you can see, there is no grid overlay to speak of (as the grid is just a by-product of the space between the stone slabs), and while I have no immediate plans to redraw them all as hexagonal slabs ...I will add it to the (ever expanding) to-do list :)

Sorry if that's not the answer you were hoping for, but I will try and get around to something like that eventually.

Keep it up with the good work!

(Maybe I'll be able to work something out for the Hex after all)

Can I recommend something? It involves a minimal spend. Get Paint.net, and buy S John Ross's HexPaperPro font.

Paint.net is dead easy to use, as is HexPaperPro (just a font, after all). So easy to copy the image to Paint.net, add another layer, type whichever grid type and size you want into that layer, and turn the layer on or off as you wish.

Kristian, thanks for your high-quality work.

Each page has a 'permission is granted to print...' line of text which should suffice in most instances. However, I've just replied to your facebook message (sorry for the delay ...it's probably a time zone thing) with a bit more info. I hope that helps!

Great resource. Very simple. As illustrated in the video it can be quite useful for a DM looking to add a little 2.5D magic to map, without spending countless hours scratch building dungeon tiles.

Having scratch built my own 2.5D dungeons, I can tell you it becomes quite tedious to repeatedly hand draw and then etch or paint the stonework required for floor tiles. This resource would have saved me quite a lot of time.
