Sabres & Sorcery

Sabres & Sorcery is an OSR fantasy RPG in the vein of Labyrinth Lord or Sabres & Witchery.  In fact, these two excellent games were the basis for Sabres & Sorcery.

What do you get for your hard-earned money?  The usual roleplaying gaming goodies stuffed into less than 200 pages, of course!  Character creation, spells, monsters, combat, magical items, two sample settings (one bare bones and the other more fleshed out), blank graph paper for notes, character sheet - basically everything except some humans and dice.

If you already have one, or two, or ten OSR games, do you really need Sabres & Sorcery?  Certainly not!  But we here at Tyndale Toasters have been playing this game for several years now and feel that the rest of the world should give it a shot to see if everyone likes it as much as we do!

So how is S&S different than LL or S&W?  Well, the sttributes are different, the classes are slightly different but not too much, magic can be detrimental to wizards, which fits in well with our low fantasy enjoyment. 

S&S uses the Moldvay-era Race-as-Class as default but includes rules for creating Elf Rogues and Goblin Woodsmen, etc.  Do you want your Cleric or Wizard to become a Necromacer?  Options for this are included, as well as other forms of multi-classing.

The included, more fleshed out, campaign setting is sort of a fantasy version of the Meditteranean Sea and its nearby lands.
