EVEN MORE CLASSIC DEITIES FOR YOUR CLASSIC RPG!

Have you unleashed the mighty power of Divinities and Cults in your game yet?

Divinities and Cults: Volume II covers the Gods and Goddesses of both the Celtic and Roman Pantheons, as well as a number of Evil Cults. Like Volume I, this work provides detailed tenets, special cleric considerations, healing side-effects, numerous divine tests, and custom spell lists for all 19 of them. What is more, optional rules and random tables abound, organized by  Divinity, of course. This excellent book is compatible with the various Old School Editions and their 'Retro-clones', especially Labyrinth Lord™!

  • Detailed rules for playing clerics of 7 Celtic and 7 Roman Gods and Goddesses
  • Full rules for also playing clerics of 5 Evil Cults
  • 20 pieces of unique artwork by Luigi Castellani (note: some Goddesses are depicted partially nude)
  • 11 Random encounter tables
  • 7 Other random tables
  • 20 Optional rule & sidebar sections
  • An Appendix that offers guidelines for making over 20 additional Divinities, as well as  having cultural variations for clerics of the various Divinities, such as Ionian, German, Etruscan, Gallic, etc.
  • And much more!

What does "_C" mean? And I'd love to see all three volumes in a print version...

'C' is the most recent (2019) edition for Volume II. Yes, I'd love to see them all in print as well.

Like with Volume I, I probably won't be doing an OSRIC version since it's so similar to Labyrinth Lord.

Please, in the name of all that is good and holy, do one more Divinities & Cults for Labyrinth Lord for Egyptian, Babylonian, and Sumerian pantheons. There is a lot of overlap between the last two. Then I will have all my favorites.

Awesome work. Dropping a 5 on both volumes. I almost never give those, but I was impressed.

Can't wait to get Volume III.

The stuff I'm finding on your blog, is it free stuff from Volume I & II. Or is it new material and I need to copy and paste it? Had to ask.

Me too. I’ll be working on the DCC RPG conversion for Volume II over the next few weeks, as well as the Labyrinth Lord print conversions for Volumes I & II.

I have some previews on my blog, but most of it is new, bonus material. I add another post every Wednesday evening. Enjoy.

Will there be a DCC version of this, like you did with Divinities and Cults 1?

I'm planning on it. And if enough people would like to see it, I'll make it a priority.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
